Just finished Alerts - I was made aware of JournalTOCs so I could alert our Readers.
In my opinion JournalTOCs is not as easy to use as ZETOC but this is a matter of preference.
Having looked into RSS feeds I will stick to this.
Always good to have a choice and my understanding is greater for pointing people in the right direction.

Just read up about Twitter.
I was aware of this as our Library has signed up to it for professional use, which we find very useful.
Whether I would use Twitter in my life remains to be seen but it is good to be aware of whats out there, pointing people in the right direction.

RSS - How useful ?
Just signed up to Google Reader - to be fair I did need some help as the instructions differed with my computer.
I have added some RSS feeds I think these will be very useful in keeping up todate and also passing on information to friends and colleagues professionally + home.
Now when people ask me about RSS I feel more knowledgeable to explain and certainly would recommend it.
